Technical & regulatory notes: Starting point: existing uncoated IR pellet. Target strength: 60-75% iron bisglycinate compound and >=10% elemental iron, preferably about 12%. Release: <=10% in saliva at 2 min; >=80% in 60 min under gastric conditions. Development: seal coat plus taste barrier to minimize contact with vitamin C, oils and carotenoids.
